Valli- Tamil Cinema and literature turns (79) today

The most proficient lyric writer of Tamil Cinema and literature turns (79) today. Born in 1931 at Srirangam, Rangarajan (born name of Vaali) was born to Srinivasa Iyengar and Ponnammal. He started off with his career as a voice artist in AIR. Later, he stepped into films by penning lyrics and as well won laurels for his spellbinding literary works: Avathara Purushan, Pandavar Bhoomi, Ramanuja Kaviyam, Krishna Vijayam, Kalaignar Kaviyam, Krishna Bhakthan, and Naanum Indha Nootrandum.

Overwhelmed by the works he had delivered, his close friends and associates had felicitated him by rechristening him as ‘Vaali’.

Recently, the lyric writer was desolated over the demise of his wife Ramani Thilagam.

Even today, the ace lyric writer continues striking spectacularly with his extraordinary works.
